“As a longtime Kathy Herman fan, I know I can expect a top-notch mystery that will grab my attention from the very first page. Not by Sight exceeded those expectations with enough dizzying twists and turns to leave me breathless. This book is an absolute gem—Kathy Herman’s best yet!”

Not by Sight starts a terrific new trilogy with story of a father and daughter missing now for five years. Nonstop tension and danger, young love, and conflicts of faith make this a not-to-be-missed experience. Another winner for Kathy Herman!”

“… I loved this book, and everything about it. It had a great plot with great character development, which isn’t always done in fiction. The plot was great and kept me turning the pages as fast as I could read. As I often do with a really good book, I read it in one sitting. And then I re-read my favorite parts over at least 4 times. This may be her best book yet.Kathy writes Christian suspense, which is my favorite genre’ to read, but her books are never gory, the violence never overdone, nor are they scary. If you aren’t sure you’d like Christian suspense/mysteries, she would be a good author to try. And that doesn’t mean her books are not suspenseful. They are. And definitely worth reading. This one would be a great place to start. And though this is adult fiction, teenagers should enjoy this series as some of the main characters are teenagers and younger.”

“I gave this book 5 stars because I didn’t want to stop reading until the end. It had mystery and a little romance. But most of all, the characters were so real that I related to their situations and pain. Their faith in God and His answers to their prayers were very touching… I loved the whole story and I always like a good cry! Great book!”

“When I first looked this book up, my first impression was that it’s a romance between Abby and her friend Jay. I was so wrong!! And I’m glad I was. This book isn’t about romance it is about true love that is so rear in this uncertain world and a true mustard-seed faith experience. We all go through a lot of hardships in this life (and I really liked Buck’s comment “…our lives are tapestries. It takes some dark threads to make a beautiful design.”) do we blindly rely on God-as we should- and let Him send Guardian angels our way or are we battling till we are blue to try and control the outcome?! I know, i am a sinful control-freak and Life has taken me though valleys I don’t wish to revisit but now I realize the outcome was in God’s beautiful design. We need to trust our Lord blindly without analyzing every new development. We are people with faults and have a free will that lets us do whatever our crazy mind conjures and after we mess it up we blame God never thinking we brought it on. Jeremiah 29:11 says: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”-.this is what this book is about- don’t whine or grieve your life away embrace it with a mustard-seed faith and know that God has great plans for you- to prosper not to bring you harm!!! Enjoy this book for it has romance, fun, mystery, true family and community relationship, beautiful setting in the mountains and most of all lessons of life that some of us are fortunate enough to learn only from books. I want to give special thanks to the author- Kathy Herman for writing this amazing story! And of course to David C Cook Publishers for offering it free in exchange for my honest opinion.”
