Hi Kathy, I just finished Never Look Back.  I absolutely loved it! As usual you kept my spastic brain's attention. I am so glad that I thought ahead and previously purchased The Grand Scheme. I will begin it this evening. I admire your gift so much and especially am grateful for the wisdom the Lord has given you. I can't wait for your new series!”  Lori Dupes

I just finished The Grand Scheme and I wanted to tell you that I absolutely loved it!  I have read all of your books and while I marked Poor Mrs. Rigsby as my favorite I must say it is hard to actually have a favorite. You may not remember but I shared with you once that my mom and I both love your books. I started reading The Grand Scheme on Friday when I got home from work. I continued it on Saturday when I got home from work.  It was getting pretty late and so I told myself, one more chapter then I'll go to bed!  Needless to say it ended up being more than one more chapter …Thank God for you!!  Lisa Coffelt

Dear Mrs. Herman:  I just finished The Grand Scheme and loved it…thank you for keeping me guessing while still finding a way to entertain, inspire, and even sometimes convict me.  You are a gifted storyteller and wonderful character developer.  It's always sad to say goodbye to the folks you write about. I just returned from a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains, and can't wait to see what you come up with for the new series.  We truly enjoyed visiting that area so rich with history and beauty.  Sincerely,  Maranna

Dear Kathy, I just wanted to let you know what a blessing all of your books have been in my life.  I have read all of the Baxter series, the Seaport Suspense Series, and Book #1 so far of the Phantom Hollow Series.  I pass all your books on to my mother to read.  My daughter is 15 and she is beginning to read them as well. What a blessing to be able to share Christian books and discussions with my daughter AND my mother! It's rare that three generations could enjoy the same books so much! I guess my favorite would have to be Poor Mrs. Rigsby because that was the very first of your books that I read.  Looking forward to many new books in the future. Blessings, Linda Peabody

I go to a Christian school and I’m in the seventh grade. I have always been a self proclaimed "Christian" but had never gotten close to God. My friend read one of your books and recommended it to me, and ever since I've been unable to stop reading. My school library has all the ones that are published, but school is out in a week . I will be waiting eagerly for school to start again so I can finish reading. I hope you know how much you touched my life with your books. They are helping me get a closer personal relationship with God. I can never thank you enough… In His name, Alison Vidal.

I cannot choose a favorite book. I have just finished reading The Grand Scheme, so it is the freshest in my mind.  All of them have been eye-opening lessons of self-examination and faith.  I have purchased, read, and shared every one of your books.  The overall tone of love and forgiveness is inspiring.  I especially love when adults learn lessons from children…God is using you to teach people through page turning adventures.  Thank you for allowing Him to guide your words and thoughts.  May God continue to bless you. Vivian Wallace

Kathy there are no words to describe the place in my heart that your books have touched. It is amazing how God can take the most horrible life and give it new meaning. Thank you for bringing new meaning to my life.  God Bless You!  Gail

I have truly enjoyed every book I have read of yours. I think I have bought all of them and my daughters stay on the Internet making sure we your new ones as soon as they come out.  It is a family competition when I buy a new book.  We fight over who gets to read it first.  They have been a blessing to each of us.  I am thankful that you write books that challenge me spiritually and are so suspenseful that I can't rest until I have read the whole thing.  May the Lord continue to bless you in your work.  Thank you for your ministry.   Graham Rowlett

This is not fair!  I wanted to pick them all [as a favorite] but settled for the latest release.  I finished reading Ever Present Danger this weekend and have posted a review of it online. You brought much reading pleasure and many wonderful conversations into my relationship with my mom.  She went to be with Jesus in August of last year, but I know she would have devoured this series along with me, just as she did all of your other novels. Thank you.  Deena Peterson

I would be hard pressed to choose one of your books as my favorite, for I have enjoyed every one of them. What impresses me about your books is the depth of the characters who I truly feel like I get to know. As I finished Ever Present Danger, I thought, "Well there are a host of new characters for Kathy to develop in future stories from Phantom Hollow." The reality of sin and its consequences are always there, but never without the hope of the Redeemer! Thank you for your continued efforts to offer a good story with the encouraging messages of hope. May the Lord protect you from weariness or discouragement, and strengthen you with new insights and truths from His word. Looking .forward to the next one.  Penny Clawson

Kathy, I just finished reading your book Ever Present Danger, it was great!! Can't wait until your next one comes out.  You are very Blessed to have the talent you have. I have every book you have written. When I get one it is hard for me to put it down until I finish. I hold on to it for a while, because I know once I start reading, there goes the laundry, dinner, and cleaning house.(just kidding). I am so looking forward to your Phantom Hollow Book Two.  God Bless you as you use the wonderful talent He has given you. I just cannot decide which of your books is my favorite.  They are all wonderful. Joyce Hill

Ever Present Danger was very well written. The plot was riveting! How many individuals are holding onto secrets that are so horrible that their whole life has been crippled? I am a teacher in a mental health hospital. My students are the teen residents committed to the hospital for long term treatment. My students have histories of drug addiction, immorality, vandalism, truancy, etc. Almost all of them are harboring secrets about themselves or their families. It has kept them in bondage. I plan on putting a copy of Ever Present Danger on my bookshelf next fall to have available for my students. I keep a few carefully chosen books on my bookshelf and pray for the Lord to get them into the hands and hearts of the students who would be open to the message of hope through Christ. Keep writing and God bless you!  Diana Bogue

I just purchased my first Kathy Herman novel, Ever Present Danger. I love it! It is so hard to put it down. I have now started to order all of your other novels. They are great to read and I truly am enjoying them! Thanks for the great book! Sarah Chark

...Where do I begin?  I went to my local library and asked the librarian if she knew any good authors.  She said, "Kathy Herman is a great writer and her books are hard to put down once you start reading them."  I said, "okay  I will give her a try."  Thank God I did.  I read Tested by Fire and loved it.  I rushed back to the library to get the next book.  I got Day of Reckoning… it was AWESOME. I read it in less than a day.  I couldn't put it down.  I went back to the library to get all of the other books in this series.  They were GONE!!!  Needless to say the librarian put a order on the other books so that I can pick them up and read them.  I got another book by another author and I just couldn't get into the book.  THANK YOU for being such a great writer.  May God bless you the way that your books are blessing me.  I can't wait to read EVERY series that you have.  Your Biggest Fan, Wanda

I have never read Christian-based books before, but happened to stop in LifeWay Christian Store a few weeks ago.  I found your Seaport series and purchased the first book.  It was great!  Way different than the Stephen King or Dean Koontz books I usually read.  I have now finished the Seaport series and read Ever Present Danger.  I will go get the Baxter series soon.  They are really good books!  Thank you making your stories so realistic AND including God and his presence in our daily lives, no matter what happens.   Shelly

Hi Kathy, I just finished reading Ever Present Danger and I don't know how I've missed your other books.  I really enjoyed this book and found myself not wanting to come to the end, but racing through the pages because I wanted to find out what was going to happen next!  I feel as though I've known the characters in this book, they are so real, and each situation in this book is not "hinted" at or skimmed lightly, it is openly written about in a mature compassionate manner.  The theme of this book for me was Grace - God's grace; and how deeply thankful that through God's love and the gift of his son's life on the cross I have experienced God's wonderful grace in my life!  Bless you and thank you for your ministry and for giving God the glory.   Chris C.

Dear Ms. Herman, I just finished reading Ever Present Danger, and I can hardly wait for the next book.  I would have a hard time picking out my favorite book.  I would have to say that I have enjoyed all of your books.  All are inspiring and have a message that leaves me thinking.  I am always amazed at how you can come up with these stories that are interesting and also have a message to apply to our spiritual life.  I have shared my books with my son and son-in-law. They both fly from place to place with their jobs and they enjoy reading your books on the plane.  Thank you so much. Blessing to you!    Peggy M. Cochran

Ms. Herman, I first read your novel Tested by Fire after buying it at a garage sale. It was so good I wanted everyone to read it.  It was a great example of how you feel when Jesus moves into your heart.  I checked Day of Reckoning out at the library and loved it so much that I bought it so that I could highlight inspirational passages in it.  I finished the rest of the Baxter series soon after.  I am so thankful for you as an author.  I don't normally read or make time to but your books were better than watching TV. I just finished Poor Mrs. Rigsby, which was very suspenseful. You have a wonderful God given talent that I will tell everyone about. Thank you so much.    Brandy

Hello Kathy --we have been together for many hours now and I feel like we've become friends. All I still have to read is Poor Mrs. Rigsby and then I wait for the next series. You really saved the best in the series to the last one Not By Chance --- not much got done on my list of things to do while I was reading this gripping story!!! …I am the library coordinator in the largest Presbyterian Church in Canada and my Family Library is full of great authors. Welcome to the "Best of the Best" list I post!!! Keep up your great work. I'll wait for the next series coming out soon. In friendship, Lynn LaBranche

How am I to choose a favorite book?  I have loved them all.  I have just finished reading Not By Chance, the end of the wonderful Seaport Suspense novels. I am always so pleased at how you are able to use so much of the gospel in your writing. I am sure you have made more of a difference in people's lives than you will ever know this side of heaven. You will meet people there who are there because of your writing. Praying that Christ may be seen in me. In Him, Gerry Gould

Kathy, I have read all of the Baxter Series and am now on the Seaport novels.  HONESTLY, THESE ARE SOME OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ. I am so blessed by each book and the message that you impart. The characters are real and the issues timely.  Thank you.  Carol Cain

All Things Hidden was actually the first book of yours that I have read.  The cover caught my eye and I'm so glad it did.  All I can say is WOW!!! I could not put the book down.  I laughed and cried all the way through it. My kids and husband kept asking me what the book was about because they would hear me laugh or see my wipe a tear.  I would fill them in when something exciting would happen and they would ask me each night what new was happening in the book… I'm hooked now and can't wait to get my next book. Lori Yuhas

Kathy, I just finished reading A Shred Of Evidence.  I am almost speechless. I have so much to say to you, though I just can’t begin to say it all right now. That was an amazing book that was SO God inspired. Thank you soooooooo much for hearing from God and being obedient with your writing, because I have no doubt that he is using you in a mighty way. Susan McFarland

I had a hard time picking which book is my favourite. I liked them all.  I love how you pick a theme and then create a plot around that theme.  All of the themes are things as Christians that we all struggle with.  I particularly related to Day of Reckoning, because it's hard for me to let go of anger.  I am working on it and with God's help and his grace I will get there. Vianne C.

I can't really tell you which one of the books is my favorite because they are all great works and very inspiring. Once I get into these books, it is very hard for me to put them down. My two college-aged daughters read your books as well as my mother and sister-in-law. I have always liked intrigue and suspense books, but finding inspirational books with intrigue is the best of both. I couldn't wait to find All Things Hidden after I had read Eye of the Beholder. Now I am looking forward to reading your new book, Not By Chance, when it comes out in September of 2006. Best of luck with your future novels and remember that there are those of us who are inspired with your works. Terri Carrier

Kathy, I have enjoyed reading all your books. I have just finished reading Not by Chance, the last book in the Seaport Series, and am anxious to get started on the first book of the Phantom Hollow Series coming out in March 2007. You are a great Christian novelist writer who has inspired me every time I picked up one of your books.  Joan Heare

I still favor Poor Mrs. Rigsby but just finished the last in the Seaport Series, Not by Chance. It is SO good. Sure makes one realize what a purpose we each have on earth. Now, I can hardly wait for the next series to begin. Too bad it is going to be so long. Oh, well, I am sure it will be worth waiting for. May God bless you and your family and keep those "juices" flowing. Irene Jackard

Dear Kathy, I just read Eye of the Beholder…WHAT A BOOK!  Every page was wonderful and the suspense you created was enchanting!  I absolutely loved the interaction between Ellen and Guy as well as their interaction with their son and his wife. Those of us who have been married for a long time certainly can appreciate the nuances there. This is, I believe, the fifth novel of yours that I have enjoyed.  Each one has been an experience and causes one to stretch the mind to encompass every character. Rosemary Dantonio

I just finished A Shred of Evidence and marked it as the favorite one, but I really like them all. Your message comes through loud and clear in each one. In A Shred of Evidence, I appreciated your honesty in dealing with gossip. We all have much to learn about this and how our words can hurt someone else. Thank you for that reminder, I stopped and prayed that God would open my heart even more to this hurtful practice. May all who read this be more aware and more careful of the unkind words we often say. Thanks again Kathy, I look forward to reading the next one. God bless you in your writing. Becky

Kathy, I just finished reading Not By Chance...such a wonderful book.  It was so uplifting. I have read and enjoyed all your books.  I can't wait for your next series next year.  I am so glad you will include some of the Jones in it. I got really attached to Ellen and her family!!!  Keep up the great writing! Jackie S.

I love the Baxter Series! I just want to thank you for what you do. The Lord has blessed me and taught me many things through your books. It's impossible to pick a favorite, but what I like most about your books is that they appeal to all ages, even teenagers. God Bless. Kimber Kieschnick

I just wanted to let you know that the book All Things Hidden was so well written!  I really enjoyed it a lot.  I am a CNA in a nursing home, so I could relate to Lawrence's Alzheimer’s disease.  What a terrible way to live, but it really gave a good insight to the readers who don't know what it's all about. Thank you so much for another good read and I can't wait to read the next one.  When is it due out?  God Bless you! Nancy Brown

I just finished reading All Things Hidden and, again, I just loved it!  I always suggest your books to my Christian (and all my non-Christian reader) friends.  They always leave me feeling like I just had a long visited with a treasured friend.  Your books are about common people with common problems and trials and I love the way they work them out through the love of Jesus and His word.  I hope you can continue to write for years to come.  Thank you for sharing your insights with the lost world. Maybe one of your books will find its way into someone's hands that needs to hear the good news. Penny Jones

Kathy, my favorite book is always the one I am currently reading or have just finished of yours. Your books just keep getting better and better. I am an avid Christian Fiction reader and you are one of the best. Thanks for giving us good literature to read.   God Bless and keep you writing.   Rita Wingard

I have read them all…I have enjoyed each one and have gleamed a bit of wisdom from each one.  In each book I have been able to relate to one or more of the characters and can see things in a different light -- especially Eye of the Beholder.  Thank you for your books and I pray that you will continue with your ministry. Carol Cottone

Kathy, I just wanted to let you know what an inspiration your books are. I have several family members that are avid readers and who don’t appear to have a relationship with Christ. Your books allow me a window of opportunity to witness to them without a conflict. I also grow as a Christian. Thank you so much for your books and please keep them coming. Susan F.

I don't think I just "stumbled" onto your books—I know they were God-directed.  From the minute I started Tested By Fire I was hooked.  I would finish one and then start the next.  I had to put a reserve at our library for A Fine Line, but over the weekend I have skipped to that Seaport Series and just finished A Shred of Evidence. Kathy, the Lord is using you in a mighty way.  The way your characters live their lives and the lessons they bring forth speak louder than many "Christian Self Help Books"  I will pass these on to everyone I know.  Thank you for spreading them message we should all be spreading. I am looking forward to your next book. Pam Russell

I just finished reading A Shred of Evidence—WOW!! I literally read the entire book in less than 24 hours!  I just couldn't put it down.  I can't wait to see what happens next in Seaport!  And by the way—OUCH! and THANK YOU! for pointing out that gossip is gossip no matter how we package it.  Great message—God truly spoke through the words of your book! Lisa Gould

Dear Kathy,
I truly cannot chose a favorite of your books.  They all are wonderful - I have read everything that you have written and not only have I enjoyed reading them but I have some pages marked because the scripture just jumped right out at me!  I pass along all of them to both my mother and my sister.  We are such fans! I just finished reading Eye of the Beholder and I will have a hard time waiting until March 2006 for All Things Hidden…Again, thank you for not only giving me such enjoyment in reading but a blessing also. Patty Kennedy

I didn't want to choose just one of your books as a favorite because I've read them all and they are all wonderful! I've started the new Seaport series and it is great too. Your books inspire and convict and are hard to put down once you start reading. I am praying for you Kathy. God bless you and your work. Joanne Lambert

My favorite book was Shred of Evidence. My friend gave it to me and I couldn't stop reading it! You are an awesome writer and I definitely plan to read more of your books! Sincerely, Brooke

I just finished reading Eye of the Beholder.  It was great as usual, I'm looking forward to the next book but March of 2006 is a long way off.  It will be worth waiting for.  I have read all of your books and have loaned them to my son and son-in-law who travel all the time.  They are enjoying them too.  It would be hard to say which of your books are my favorites.  I love them all.  Bless you as you share your God-given-talent with others.  Your books are entertaining and spiritual. I so admire someone who can put words on paper and bring them to life. May God bless you and your family. Thank you again, Peggy Cochran

I just read Poor Mrs. Rigsby. i thought that once I became a Christian, i would never be able to read a thriller again  i had chills reading the book  i also loved the moral. Jessica Cho.

I just love your books! They keep me on the edge of my seat and not wanting to put the book down. But the real gift of your writing is that each book brings me closer to Him and urges me to be a better person and testimony for my Lord.  Linda Moscow

Dear Kathy,
I can't pick a favorite because I love them all—Just finished A Shred of Evidence and Eye of the Beholder— how do you do it—your books are so easy to read and cut right to the heart of their subject - in Eye of the Beholder I found myself guilty of the same thoughts—you are an amazing writer and I know your gift comes from GOD. The only thing I don't like is I have to wait until 2006 to read the third book in the Seaport books—I love the way you have the same characters continue in the series  and also add others. Now, I must reread Poor Mrs. Rigsby and The Baxter Series—you are filling my book case—and I love each and every one. Marie Hughes

I first read Poor Mrs Rigsby and really enjoyed it. When I finished I seen in the back that you had a series, so I started with Number 1 and just finished the last. They are wonderful books—best I've found in a long time!!  Next I'm gonna start with the Seaport series—can't wait!! Thank you so much for such wonderful books!!! Melissa

Eye of the Beholder is one of your best!!  I finished reading it with tears in my eyes!  It really touched me in the core of my soul!  I am going to have to coin a new word for you.  Every time I write you I keep saying you just keep getting better and better.  But now you keep getting betterer and betterer!!  You even improved better!! Thanks for your work and ministry dear friend.  Donna

I just finished the Baxter series even though I know in part the series will continue in the Seaport series I sincerely hope you will allow your readers to revisit Baxter and the wonderful characters there. I am sure other readers feel as I do. It always seemed I could see a part of me in one of the characters. Your books are a blessing. Darlene Taig

I have read the Baxter Series and I am excited about the new series, which has not reached my bookstore yet, but looking forward to reading it. As I am an avid reader, its wonderful knowing that you write with God's hand on your life, and share His gifts with us. Thank you for your ministry.I would also like to let you know I have you on my daily prayer list and may our Lord continually bless you and keep you safe, surround you with His love and continue using you in your ministry. Forever In His Love, Judith

Dear Kathy,
All your books represent the greatest manifestation of the Love of Our Lord, for us.Your books celebrate The Amazng Grace in a world split asunder by the vagaries of hopelessness, despair and hatred.Keep up the Great work!!! God bless and thank you Kathy. Warm Regards, Quincy

After reading the comments from other readers, I think I'm probably saying the same thing they are but here goes........I have been in kind of a reading slump—I just couldn't seem to finish books like I used to and it was very frustrating to continually buy books just to put them on the shelf unread. But Poor Mrs. Rigsby caught my eye and I thought I would take a chance on yet another Christian novel. I just finished it and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was so glad to actually finish a book!!!! I like the more suspenseful novels and you have successfully written one. I have checked out Tested by Fire at my local library and can't wait to read it and continue the series. And to know that there is another new series after that I can look forward to is also exciting! You are officially one of my new favorite authors. Keep writing those plot twists—it holds our interest and allows us to finish books!!! Pam Gregg

Kathy,
I have read all of the "Baxter Series" and was hooked from the very first one! You do an amazing job at bringing your characters, situations, etc. to life and teaching such wonderful lessons in the process. While the "Baxter Series" was fabulous, I dearly loved Poor Mrs. Rigsby! I thought it was your best work ever. That was until I read A Shred of Evidence. This book truly has made me stop and think of the power contained in my words. It was your great talent as a writer combined with God's gentle tugging at my heart that caused me to stop and take a look at this area of my life and address the fact that it needed some refining. I am thankful that God has blessed you with your ability which in turn blesses me with wonderful reading material. May God continue to bless you and yours. Thank you once again for sharing your gift with all of us, your devoted readers. Love in CHRIST, Jill Lindsey

I cannot pick a favorite Book. All your books are inspirational and fantastic reading. I haven't picked up Poor Mrs. Rigby but I know I will. Thank you for your writings. John

I have read all of the above books and have enjoyed each and everyone of them. I have just finished A Shred of Evidence and it was great. It was not only enjoyable and intriguing but thought provoking. It made me realize how powerful our words are. Words can either build up or tear down. Thank you for the reminder. God does write straight with crooked lines. Margaret Cavagnaro

Kathy,
I really enjoyed your Seaport Suspense Novel, A Shred of Evidence, and cannot wait until Eye of the Beholder comes out. I am glad that you put the message of how gossip affects all who listen to it. I feel God's pull to work on that area of my life. Thank you for letting God work through you and using the talent He has given you for Him. Stephanie Johnson

Hi Kathy,
I've meant to write you all week. Wanted you to know how sorry I was that I was out of town last Friday when you spoke at the Job. It was the 50th reunion of my college class and we had made plans to attend several months ago. It was fun, but I always enjoy that special ministry and would have loved to have been with you. I sent Juli your last book after seeing you at "Sam's". She devoured it and loved it. She will bring it home to me! Look forward to seeing you again, or reading about you. Love, Jean

Daer Kathy,
I just finished reading A Shred of Evidence (after devoouring Poor Mrs Rigsby. Thank you so much for your delightful writing. Of course I don't get alot of housework done when one of your books is within reach...but who cares? A Shred of Evidence really touched my spirit...I got so angry with some of the characters...and then realized that I am sometimes so much like them. Then in church this morning, our Pastor preached on "Communication"...and I got the message once again, right between the eyes. Bless you for helping us all to see the error of our ways. (The Holy Spirit does work through you!) I sang with "Festival of Praise" for two weeks many years ago and my tour began in Baton Rogue, LA and we worked our way into east TX. There we many stops along the way and I remember with joy what a great visit we had in Tyler! Again, please keep writing! I will pick up some of your other books at the local Christian bookstore and when I get done with them, they will be added to our Park library... (534 homes in the park)..a great opportunity to share the Lord with people who won't darken a church door but who love to read! Bless you. Barbara Murphy

Hello,
I've just finished reading "A Shred of Evidece", and I truly enjoyed it. This was the first of your books I've had the pleasure of reading. I'm looking forward to reading your other books. I can't wait to meet the characters from your Baxter series. May God Bless you and your family. Your newest fan just down the road on Hwy 69, Patti Safar

I first read the Baxter series by accident. Someone gave me Tested by Fire thinking it was written by someone else I was looking for. Since then, I haven't been able to put them down! Every time I see a new book coming out, I get so excited. Thank you so much for following the Spirit as God leads you in what he wants you to write. KEEP IT UP! Nicole

One day in 2003 I came across the first four books of the Baxter Series in Lifeway-Tyler. After reading the cover of the first one I bought all four and literally devoured them. I finally got the fifth one for Christmas 2003. I have never read any books quite like yours that I could not put down. I loaned them to several other ladies and even my husband loved them and could not put them down. Just recently I bought Poor Mrs Rigsby and one night I stayed up till 2am reading it. I am so looking forward to your new series about Ellen and her husband. I trust by the end of the series even her stubborn husband Guy will become a Christian. Thanks and love, stay healthy, Pat in Canton

I.ve just read my first book by you and couldn't put it down, I purchased it through Crossing book club. Now I'm anxious to read the Baxter series and hope to start a discussion club using your books. The discussion guide at the end of your book was great. After working for Waldenbooks for 17 years before retiring last fall I thought I knwew most of the good authors. The big stores don't really gove the christian authors much space. However there is hope. Waldens doubled their space in the last 2 years. Your book really showed how timeless living the bible is. It was thought provoking and inspirational. Keep onwriting. With all the trash out there we need more authors like you. Thank you! Judith

Dear Kathy,
I read your book Poor Mrs. Rigsby and I enjoy every moment of it. You are such a great writer, You have captured my attention in reading, I don't know when the last time I have completed a book. Thanks so much for inspiring to get back into reading. I will always remember this book "Poor Mrs. Rigsby" just as I remember The Pearl by another author. I get caught up in reading my bible but now I see I can focus on other books as well. God has given you a gift for writing.... continue to write and I will continue to read I will order "Tested by Fire" and I'm sure it will be as interesting as Poor Mrs. Rigsby. God bless you and keep writing. Georgianna

I just finished reading Poor Mrs. Rigsby and I LOVED IT. I wanted to know if there were plans to make this into a series because I'm dying to know what happens with Harry, Gracie, Bill and Sally's daughter Leslie. You kind of left us hanging at the end and I just really want to know. I loved the Baxter Series as well. You're very much like Dee Henderson & Terri Blackstock and I have recommended you several times. I use to work at Lifeway here in Lubbock so I've had many an opprotunity to suggest you. Can't Wait for the next book. Stephanie

I have just finished reading the Baxter series. These books were a blessing and I read each one at just the right time. I am leading a women's Bible study and as I read each book, they spoke to the topic we would be discussing that week. I am so glad that I stumbled across your books at the public library. You have a way of putting the christian message into words that are easy to understand. I eagerly awaitthe Seaport series! Wrennie

I have read the Baxter series and just finished Poor Mrs Rigsby. I have been blessed by the insight you have written in each story. God has used your work to teach His principles and I am thankful for your faithfulness to be used to reach others. Poor Mrs Rigsby reminds me that God is more than enough-because He is the only one who fills the hole each of us has-money or anything else can't do it. I will share this book with the teachers at my children's Christian school. I know it will bless their lives too. May God continue to use your writingto reach others. Diane

Hi Kathy
I recently discovered Poor Mrs. Rigsby in our church library. What a GREAT book!!! You kept me eagerly turning pages right to the end. What a wonderful way to tell others that money doesn't buy happiness, only Jesus does. Our library had your Baxter series so I am now reading Tested by Fire. So far another excellent page turner!! Thank you for blessing us with your books!!! I can't wait to read them all. I will recommend your books to every reader I know! God Bless YOU, Steve

Dear Kathy,
It was hard picking a favorite book.I read Poor Mrs.Rigsby first and went back to the library and got all of the Baxter Series, and cannot wait for more .I could not put the books down and sometimes stayed up very late to finish reading. After I read the last book and found out that you are a breast cancer survivor and that your husband had emergency bypass surgery,my husband did also just this past october of 2004.I myself am a seven year breast cancer survivor myself.I thank the Lord for bringing your books to me when I really needed some uplifting of my FAITH !!!!! I truly Thank You from the bottom of my heart.Thank You and GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!! Rose Clark

I have read and enjoyed all your books. I am an avid reader so I can clear a book in one to two days. Poor Mrs. Rigsby may be your best yet. I think I did it in one reading. I have been waiting for a new book and so glad to find out a new one is due in march. I think you are getting better with each book, or you might prefer, God is using you to reach further. As a widow and getting older too books are my company a lot and yours are some of my favorites, as good as any of the authors I read. Hang in there as you have and make lemonade from your lemons. May God continue to use your talents to reach people. There is a sweet lady at the LifeWay store, short with short hair, gone to part time now, she suggested your first book and is such a jewel directing me to the new GOOD books. I owe her many thanks for finding you. God bless you. Doylese

I have enjoyed the two books of yours that I have read. I have been enjoying Christian fiction since I was a little girl but to be honest your books are the first ones I have ever found to be right on doctrinally. I have found many authors who can write a good book but they do not give a clear presentation of the gospel. You do and you give it the way the Bible does. Thank you for standing up for the Truth. I am proud to recommend your books to unsavd friends. Amanda May

I just love your books. They are so inspirational. I just now got done with High Stakes and I am starting to read A Fine Line. High Stakes or Vital Signs had to be my favorites. I'm going to be so sad when I finish reading A Fine Line. I loved these books. Thank you for writing them! Rachael

I have read all your books and love their suspense with Christian faith and encouragement! I just finished reading Poor Mrs. Rigsby this a.m.—what a wonderful message of hope for those locked up in greed, and the redemption of a marriage and many relationships. I sure didn't like that Horton character! Keep doing what you are doing. I work at a library and have the pleasure of recommending your books! Barb

I am writing to thank you so much that you have used the gifts that God has given you in writing to speak to the public. Your book Poor Mrs.Rigsby spoke to me at just the right time. It is amazing how God works and brings the "physical" world (your book) into our lives at the right moment to help us get through a tougher time. A year ago my husband chose to leave the money making world to serve underprivelged and at risk youth and older adults. www.generations-centers.org. He really felt this is what God was calling him to do. Times are not easy and I know that he struggles with not being able to earn a consistent paycheck, buy a house etc..But none of that matters to me. He is doing the Lord's work and it is his gift to work with the underprivelaged children of God. When I read your book I found so many verses that I was able to use to help my husbands frustrations. I am really looking forward to reading more of your books. God bless and thank you Karen. In Gods amazing love, Annette

I just finished reading High Stakes! I absolutly loved it. it has really made me think twice about how i treat someone because of their appearence. i don't know which of the books is my favorite, i love them all. i am looking foward to your new series! can't wait! Jayna

I have never been into reading but oh my word this book is just keeping me up at night, I do not want to put it down..Keep them coming, because I am ready for the next one. Kimberly

All of your books have been wonderful. I just finished reading High Stakes and could not put it down until I finished it. Great job done!!! Will be reading A Fine Line next. Please keep the books coming. I can see myself in your characters. Thank you. Sandy Garrett

Dear Kathy, I couldn't check one book because I love them all - just finished reading Poor Mrs. Rigsby—what a wonderful sermon you gave me - the photo on the front of the elderly lady hurts my heart because she looks so frail - and I find myself looking down that same road - you have such a talent from God, thank you for sharing it with your readers. I look forward to reading A Fien Line —I have all the others in the Baxter Series - Keep up the good work. May God bless you, and give you the words I need to hear. started Poor Mrs. Rigsby on Tuesday and finished up Wed.night - all day I've been reading,I was sorry when I came to the end. Sincerely, Marie Hughes

I just finished reading Poor Mrs. Rigsby...it was fantastic. Of course, I hve enjoyed all of Kathy's books immensely. I have tried to see that our Church Library has all of her books. Keep up the great writing. Jackie S.

I bought the book Vital Signs & loved it, but didn't realize it was part of a series, so have been thoroughly enjoying them. My favorite is The Day of Reckoning. I really had a good cry over that book.. You make the characters so real and have given us readers such wisdom for our own lives. Thanks... I am so glad I have come across yourbooks. Thanks, Christy

Kathy,
J ust wanted to say what an inspiration you are!!! It's so refreshing to read a GOOD christian book and have such a wonderful feeling after reading them. You are wonderful and I love reading your books!!! Keep writing but could you write a little faster? or maybe I need to read slower...just kidding :o) You are truly a treasure!!! I just bought Tested by Fire but have not read it as of yet. I bought it because of your name. I know a Kathy Herman that goes to my church. I have read a little bit and I like what I have read so far. I also hope to buy the rest in this series. I have justed started reading Christian Fiction and other Christian books and I have to admit that I really enjoy these books. Pamela
Thank you so much for the work you do! May the Lord bless you with words that will continue to touch the lives of many. I love the Baxter series and look forward to reading Poor Mrs. Rigsby very soon. God Bless, Kriss Ms. Herman, I enjoy reading your books. The doctors say my life is a miracle. From 1999 until now I have had a brain tumor, which was removed noncancerous, kidney failure caused by some kind of autoimmune disease (they have not identified which one), deafness in my left ear and hearing loss in my right ear. I wouldn't be here if not for God. He has brought me through so much, and I am still trying to figure out why I have experienced so much medical problems. I am guessing maybe it is to give others hope and leading them to HIM. Thank you again for your inspirational books. In Jesus' name, Debbie Hope
I have just finished reading Mrs. Rigsby and I just loved it, I couldn't put it down it seemed for a minute and I hadn't read a book in some time so that must tell you how much I enjoyed reading it. I truly look forward to reading one of your next books out or one of the next ones you are planning on writing. Thanks so much. Nancy
Kathy,
Your Baxter Series is great! I read a lot. You are right up there with Terri Blackstock and Catherine Palmer in the suspense department. I loved all of the books. I bought all five of them at one time- the Lord must have wanted me to read them! I've had them foe several months and had a weeks vacation, so I started reading and couldn't stop!! I read all five in ten days. The messages were very nicely woven into the story, giving the plan of salvation quite clearly without being preachy. Each book was fast paced and very conversational. I liked that. The image that stands out the most for me was of the golden cord in the dream when the Thomas's baby was taken to Heaven. I also liked the picture of the angel there with Sherry as she entered Heaven. I guess having lost a son to Leukemia that was a very comforting vision. I an excited about the Seaport Series and I'm going to go out and find Poor Mrs. Rigsby. I think I'm hooked!! Thank you so much for writing good Christian fiction. Jan
It was so great having you visit our prime timers at trinity Lutheran Church. We praise god for bringing people into our lives he has blessed and see his holy spirit working and building up us Christians to spread His great love to all men and his love that is shared by each of his children. Jesus living in our lives so this poor world see him in each of us. His spirit showed in your books (A Fine Line) I read with great care. I see Jesus in your works. Thanks to you I had a better day after reading Your book. Norman May
Kathy,
The last question on your sign in was difficult. All the books in the Baxter series were wonderful. It was hard to read the final words in "A Fine Line" knowing that it was the last book in the series. I just finished Poor Mrs. Rigsby this morning before church and will wonder about Harry and his relationship w/ the Lord, Josh, etc. But, I suppose that is the way it should be. I am looking forward to the next series. You have a wonderful way of weaving a story. I share all my books with friends that both love the Lord and those that don't know Him. Both just bide their time until the next book. Thank you forusing your gift. May God continue to bless you. Todd

Dear Kathy Herman,
Your books are so inspiring... At first when I picked up the book Test By Fire, I thought it would be just another book to start and never finish... well I later found out that after I finished A Fine Line it was much more than just a book to read and probably never finish... your books taught me alot... I really like this series because I felt like I knew all the characters and could feel for them... I can't wait to read Poor Mrs. Rigsby and the Seaport series... God Blessed you with an awesome talent... to write novels that inspire all... Kati

Awesome books, a great read and I eagerly await your next book!! Nikki

The whole series is my favorite! I have never enjoyed books as much as I have these! I love and collect angels and the way you incorporated them in you books was wonderful. The stories and bpeople in your books moved me to tears and the message in each book is so wonderful. God has truly blessed you with a wonderful talent! I have enjoyed sharing them with a wonderful, Christian friend at work and she has been blessed also! I am so thankful my daughter shared them with me and we will continue to pass them on. God is doing a mighty work through your books and you should be so PROUD. I am eagerly awaiting your new books and look so forward to reading them. May God richly bless you and yours. Your friend in Christ, Carolyn Parish

Kathy,
You simply can't write fast enough as good as these books are! I ran out of stuff to read from my normal writers and just went to the Fiction section of the library and looked for another fictional series to read and came across your books. That was 4 days ago and I picked up Book #3 this morning! I have read the first 2 in 24 hours each and then have passed them to my grandmother - who is enjoying them equally as well! Soon they will reach my brother and sister too! It is hard to find books with a message and meaning that keep you so suspended to find out what is going to happen next! I can't tell you enough how much we are truly inspired. The tears and prayers and hope and joy your books bring us were and are truly a God send! May God Bless You and your Family - we will definately be singing your praises around our church, family and friends! THANK YOU! Dena

I have just finished reading your 5 books and loved all of them. Cried through them. I am looking forward to reading Poor Mrs. Rigsby Keep writing. God Bless You. Helen

Dear Kathy,
Picking a favorite book in the Baxter series is IMPOSSIBLE! They are all great reads, and I gladly share with all of my friends, or tell about them when asked if I've read any good books lately. Thank you for being willing to share your writing talents and your faith with readers. I am blessed to have grown up with 2 godly parents, but I appreciate books that challenge my thinking and encourage me to keep growing in my faith. God bless! Janice

Dear Kathy,
I was so excited to learn we had a Christian writer living almost next door to Henderson. Your books are so exciting. The way you explain the plan of salvation is really great. If a reader is not saved, your books should really make them think. I can't wait for you next book. I picked one book in the Baxter series, but they were all my favorites. So far everything I have read of yours has been my favorite. Kay Dorsey

Dear Kathy, I'm sorry but I cannot really pick a favorite in the Baxter series. They're all so good. I'm a fan of mystery books. However there are very few that do NOT have objectional language so I was more than pleased to find yours. As far as I'm concerned (I'm going through a bit of a rough time right now) they have all been beneficial to me at this point in time. Yes,I do have a wonderful, supportive husband, but reading a good book is very helpful as well. Keep those mysteries coming. God bless you. Alice Woudsma

I want to thank you for the wonderful books in the Baxter series. I could not put a-one of them down once I got started reading. I also want to say thank you for the strong christian witness that comes through in each and every book. Thank you too for the real life temtations and troubles besetting christians in your books. God Bless! Continue the great work! Looking forward to your nest book. Your sister in Christ, Elisabeth

My name really is Kathy Herman and I live at Winona Lake, IN. I have had the privilege of reviewing all of your Baxter Series book for our local Christian Bookstore (Herald Bookstore). I have thoroughly enjoyed each one of them and now own all five. It's been fun reading each one. I was sorry to read that you and your husband have had health problems--we will remember you in our prayers. I am looking forward to reading your Seaport Series. If you ever get to Winona Lake, drop by. I would love to meet you personally. Love in Him, the "other" Kathy

I read the last Baxter series book today....couldn't put it down. I 'discovered' you after the separation/divorce from my husband within the past year. I found much time on my hands, and have filled much of it with reading Christian novels. I have, however, found many to be too filled with the light romance all with the same basic plot. Yours have an individual flair, as I enjoy the intrigue mixed with spiritual truths, changes in people lives, plus a little romantic touch. I cried today, as I also felt Marla's pain of feeling rejection, as my husband was unfaithful to me. I hope you continue to produce books of such fine quality and Christian truths. Sheila

I enjoyed the Baxter series so much. I regretted finishing the last book. I work in a library and am telling all the patrons about your terrific series. Being a Christian, it is hard to find mysteries. I loved the very human characterics of the people in your books. Thank you., Michele Kuehne

Dear Kathy,
I so much enjoy reading your books! You have a style like no other! I look forward to reading more and more of your books! Congratulations on many books well done! God Bless! Janna Iler

I finished the last of the Baxter Series at 1am this morning and I am so sad it's over. I have loved everyone of the books and am really going to miss reading what happens in their lives. I enjoyed the unpredictability of the books, I remember getting to the end of Day of Reckoning and waiting for Sherry to be alive. Also there was no main focus on romance which was fantastic as alot Christian novels are focused on a mushy, predicatble, formula based romantic story. The way the Christian principles were woven into the story was incredible, the way bitterness destroyed Wayne Purdy's life was brought across so well. All in all I have thouroughly enjoyed the series and can't wait to read another one of your books. Lindi Opperman, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa

I enjoyed all of the Baxter Series books. It is awesome to be able to read a book that refers so frequently to Christian values and shows the choices and consequences that we as Christians make...as they do effect so many people. My favorite book and character was Angie in High Stakes. I have worked with many teens and sadly many Christians find it easier to overlook them due to how they look then to reach out to them and to love them because they are a special creation by God. Thanks also for the reminder through Charlie's struggles in A Fine Line that we need to guard our hearts and thoughts as Christians. I can't wait to read your next books! Thanks for using your gifts to serve our Heavenly Father! Carol Sorenson

I have read all of the Baxter series. they started out great and have only gotten better. i love them all! also, i am the retreat coordinator at my church. do you do speeking engagements for women? if so, could you email me the details? Lynda Jones

Kathy, I read Tested by Fire eearlier in the week and immediately had to go find the other three books I knew I had by you to read. The books are so good and hold my attention from start to finish. I am now a huge fan. Shelby
