Winter 2011

I am so excited about the upcoming release of False Pretenses (March), the first book in the Secrets of Roux River Bayou Series! This new series is set in the bayou country of South Louisiana and features three characters from Sophie Trace. So those of you who have read that series will already feel at home. I had originally named this new series Langley Manor. But my publisher (wisely) suggested that I should choose a name that gives it a sense of “place,” thus Roux River Bayou was born.

I’ve done more research on this series than any previous one to make you feel as if you’re right there in the heart of bayou country. But I haven’t sacrificed an ounce of suspense in the process! All three Sophie Trace books were bestsellers and I’m hoping to get the same kind of response from fans on this series. I’m thoroughly enjoying living in South Louisiana (in my imagination only) as I write books two and three and can hardly wait to share the first book with you. Mark your calendars for March!

Book Signing Tour

My publicist is lining me up for a book tour in Louisiana sometime in April, and I can hardly wait to take another road trip to that fascinating area of the country that I’m writing about. Details to follow.

When I’m Not Writing

I haven’t been on the road in a while but have been totally engrossed in getting this series written. However, I am blessed with a wonderful view from my window. I keep my camera on and near at hand and manage to capture shots of the birds and critters while I write. Then, at the end of the day, I take a look at my pictures and enjoy the day’s visitors. I thought you might enjoy seeing some of my recent favorites.
